- plastic incise drapes where incision is made
- w/ or w/out adhesive backing/idophors
- good for sealing irregularly shaped contaminated area and equipments (tourniquet, microscopes)
aperture drapes
- -plastic sheets (prevent lateral micro migration) w/ adhesive (no need for towel clamp) fenestration that conform to body contours well
- eye or ear sx (but not directly on eyelids)
- watch for looseness due to moisture xs
laparotomey/lap sheets
- longitudinal fenestration
- sx on abdomen, back…
thyroid sheet
-same size as lap sheet but fenestration is transverse/horizontal
breast sheet
- larger fenestration than lap sheet
- breast, chest sx
kidney sheet
-transverse fenestration
hip sheet
-longer than lap sheet to cover ortho fx table
perineal sheet
- lithotomy position
- attached legging if resuable
combined sheet
-lap and perineal sheet combined for abdominal-perineal resection
split sheet
-same size as lap sheet but fenestration is split into a “U” shape

- drape areas above or below surgical area

- cover extremity (think of arm cover in breast sx)
- woven (not a microbial layer) so need an extra layer of plastic/vinyl
