What are the criteria for urgent hospital admission if patient with renal colic / ureteric colic according to NICE?
A
- Systemic shock or Signs of infection
- Risk of AKI (e.g. Transplanted Kidneys, CKD, Bilateral obstructing stones)
- Pregnancy
- Dehydration
- Uncertainty about the diagnosis
- No response to treatment within an hour.

What are the high risk features in patients with lower GI bleed?
A
- Ongoing bleeding
- Systolic < 100 mmHg
- Abnormal clotting
- Altered mental state
- Significant co-morbidities

What are the admission criteria for Lower GI bleeding as per the SIGN?
A
- Age > 60
- Significant co-morbidities
- Taking NSAIDS & Aspirin
- Evidence gross rectal bleeding
- Haemodynamic disturbance
