Discuss the Navy Cash Program
The Navy Cash card combines chip technology and a magnetic strip to virtually eliminate the need for Sailors and Marines to carry cash. The chip-based electronic purse provides for a cashless environment within the lifelines of the ship.
- This cashless environment not only improves service to customers but also reduces workload aboard ship by automating payment transactions and eliminating (as nearly as
possible) the circulation of cash.

What is ONETOUCH?
an internet based system that can be used for up to date part information, location of parts throughout the fleet, and requisition status.
Who uses ONETOUCH?
LS’s and RPPO’s use ONETOUCH. Anybody with a security clearance can request access.
What is GDSC?
Global Distance Support Center is a logistics customer service website that processes requisition requirements, supply status updates, (summary filled order expenditure listing) SFOEDL reports. Once the information is processed by GDSC they forward it to the appropriate vendors for order fulfillment

Midrats are a night meal for watch standers that didn’t get the opportunity to have 3 meals for that day.

What is BATTLE MESSING?
Battle messing is when the ship is in GQ, the galley CS will make quick meals such as: sandwiches, apples, juice, water and will distribute the meals to each repair locker, pilot house, ccs, Etc.

Describe the purpose of a “Never Out List” and what it contains. How is it created?
A never out list is designed to always have critical consumables onboard. Ie…paper plates, napkins, plastic utensils, Toilet Paper….
A never out list is created from each division. Then all list are combined to create a master list.
Explain the Continuous Ships Monitoring Program (CMP) and its purpose.
It is an internet based program that is used to monitor the operations and effectiveness of each command. Also allows the navy to see the entire fleet and what is going on with their financials
Percentages of markups in the ship store.
6% for toiletries, sundries, and uniform items. 15% for concessions. 35%-55% for canned vending.
Where does the money the ship store receives go?
All profits go to MWR
What is the periodicity for transfers to MWR?
After every accounting period Jan 31st, May 31st, and Sep30th
What is the barber ratio to the crew?
1 Barber per 101-300 crew members
How does the ship store get its tobacco prices?
NEXCOM publishes the Ship Store Bulletin which generates all tobacco prices
