Supp Procedures Flashcards
Oxygen Dispatch Requirements?
Flight Crew: 1300PSI
Cabin: 1450PSI or as per the table in the FCON
At dispatch pressure, what does the oxygen provide for?
Level off at 15000ft for 60 minutes followed by a descent to 10000ft.
When does the PDC get issued?
when ATS receives the flight plan
How long does the server store the PDC?
3 hours
When is the latest that a PDC can be requested?
no later than 15 min prior to EOBT
What happens if PDC is not requested early enough?
Voice request
What must not be read back in the PDC?
Destination or altitude
What additional info is required in the PDC readback?
Parking bay
When filling out the departure report, what is entered into the Supplier field?
F, if fuel uplifted
T, if no fuel uplifted
Where are Departure report delay codes found?
quick reference - forms
When must the Arrival report be sent?
9 minutes after the ACARS IN time event
When does ACARS record IN time?
The last time the park brake was set prior to cabin door opening and fuel control switches to cuttoff.
If the the Arrival report is not sent in the appropriate timeframe what happens?
A manual flight log must be filled out (flight library)
What does an FMC buffer full condition mean?
Uplinked winds have not been loaded or purged, which prevents further uplinks.
Primary Cabin Preparation Signal?
“This is the captain, Flight Manager report to the Flight Deck immediately.”
Emergency Descent PA
“This is the Captain, Emergency Descent”
Turbulence PA
“Passengers and cabin crew be seated with seat belts fastened.”
Severe Turbulence PA
“Passengers and cabin crew be seated with seat belts fastened immediately.”
What is the procedure for ADIRU alignment?
Off for 30s then on wait 30s and then enter CDU INERTIAL POS. Alignment can take 6-15mins. (6min at equator)
How to enter/remove manual RNP?
POS REF page line select required RNP into the RNP field, when reverting back to auto, simply delete. Can also be done through PROG pages.
How to update FF factor(PDA)?
Can only be done on the ground. on the IDENT page type “ARM” into the scratchpad and select to DRAG/FF then update the FF factor.
When completing the refuel record form what are the limitations?
+2T, -1T and within 3% of Estimated.
What is the standby fuel figure?
OFP required - 5T
When is an assumed temp not allowed?
Contaminated runways
Are damp runways wet or dry for take-off performance purposes?
Dry
What are icing conditions?
OAT 10deg or below with visible moisture (1.6km) or wet ramps/taxyways/runways
How much frost is permissible on aircraft prior to departure?
up to 3mm on the underside of the wings.
What is the significance of 3deg WRT cold weather ops?
at 3 deg or below engine runs are required.
When in severe turbulence can the autothrottle be disconnected?
Yes only in cruise.
What is the minimum amount of satellites required for unrestricted PBN ops?
24
What is the maximum difference between charted and FMS info?
max 3 deg and 2nm
What minima is used for determining suitability prior to dispatch?
The planning minima, A1 table of landing minima + buffers which has been calculated and produced as the “Cat D” table.
What minima is used for determining suitability after dispatch?
Applicable landing minima
What minima is used for determining suitability after the EEP?
Applicable landing minima however can continue even if weather is below it but should try and find suitable replacement.
On an EDTO flight, what minima are the departure and destination aerodromes compared against?
The same as a non-EDTO flight.
What is the altimeter discrepancy limit for RVSM airspace?
75ft between the AD, Capt, Fo
If some equipment fails or other reason the AC is not capable of RVSM airspace, what must happen?
ATC “Negative RVSM”
How does one fly on RVSM airspace?
With autopilot.
What is the maximum level overshoot allowed (RVSM)?
150 ft
During cruise (RVSM) what is maximum deviation from cruise level that an altimeter can indicate?
200ft
When climbing/descending (RVSM), are there restrictions?
1000fpm last 1000ft, max overshoot 150ft
If flying behind another aircraft (10nm, 1000ft below), what is the danger?
Wake turbulence
North Atlantic and Pacific RVSM: in an emergency and out of radio coverage and a clearance cannot be received in time, what must happen?
Broadcast intentions at regular intervals on 121.5 and turn on all exterior lights
North Atlantic and Pacific RVSM: in an emergency when descending without a clearance how is it best done?
turn 90deg, 15nm off track, climb/descend 500ft above/below a suitable flight level.
North Atlantic and Pacific RVSM: Wx deviation without a clearance initial actions?
Broadcast on 121.5, turn on lights, lookout and on TCAS.
North Atlantic and Pacific RVSM: Wx deviation without a clearance, less than 10nm?
turn away from organised track system as required an remain at assigned level within 10nm.
North Atlantic and Pacific RVSM: Wx deviation without a clearance, > 10nm?
At 10nm off track begin a climb or descent, if deviating north of track descend 300ft if south, climb 300ft.
