Q

Magnaporthe poae

disease cycle:

A

Hyphae inserts the lobed hyphopodia, sucks out nutrients of live plants…which results in Plant roots that dysfunction and don’t work well. It doesn’t want to kill the plant because then it cant survive….once it warms up, turf begins to decline and the hyphae slowly moves on to another host.

Q

What is important to remember about dilution rates?

A
  • Make sure you are using enough water to get the product down to the roots…
  • Be aware of what turf species you’re dealing with because you dont want to drive the product past the roots either. - (Poa Annua has very shallow roots compared to Fescues)
