Summary Flashcards
What is the ADDUCTORS of HIP
Adductor B, L, M, Gracilis, Pectineus
What is the ABDUCTORS of HIP
Glut min, med, max; Sartorius
What is the EXTENSOR M of HIP?
Glut Max, semitendinosus, semimembranosus, biceps fem = (Hamstrings)
What is the FLEXORS of the HIP?
Psoas major + Iliacus = Iliopsoas
Pectineus
Sartorius
Rectus Fem
What is the MEDIAL ROTATORS of HIP?
Add longus + magnus,
Semitendinosus + semimembranosus
Glut Med/Min
What is the LATERAL ROTATORS of HIP?
Glut max Biceps femoris Obturator int + ext Piriformis Gemellus inf + sup Quadratus femoris
What is the FLEXORS of the KNEE?
- Gracilis
- Sartorius
- Hamstrings
- Gastrocnemius
- Plantaris
Tips: Say grace before tea + hammies + post leg
EXTENSORS of the KNEE?
Tensor fascia lata
Rectus femoris
Vastus lateralis/medialis/intermedius
QUADS + TFL
LATERAL ROTATORS of the KNEE?
Popliteus
Biceps femoris
EXTENSORS of the FOOT
EHL, EDL
Lumbricals (IP)
EDB
FLEXORS of the FOOT
FHL, FDL, ABd,
FDB, FHB (MTP jt), FDMB (MTP jt)
Quadratus plantae (assists)
Lumbricals (MTP jt)
Dorsiflexors of the foot?
TA, EDL, EHL, FT
Plantarflexion of the foot?
Gastrocnemius, soleus, plantaris, fibularis longus,
TP
Adductors of the foot?
AddH, Plantar interossei
Abductors of the foot?
AbdH, AbdDM
Dorsal interossei
Inverters of the foot?
TA, TP
Evertors of the foot?
FIBULARIS tertius, brevis, longus
What is the interosseus membrane made off?
What is its function?
Made of collagen
Function:
- Attaches tib and fib together
- Muscle attachment sites
Movement at the talocrural jt?
Movement at the subtalar jt?
Talocrural => plantar & dorsiflexion
Subtalar jt => inv/evt
What passes through the adductur hiatus?
Femoral vein and artery is the only one that passes through hiatus. Become popliteal vessels after leaving and entering popliteal fossa.
What is achilles tendon made up of?
What is the name of it?
2 parts of gastroc + soleus = TRICEPS SURAE
List the differences between skin on dorsum and plantar aspect of foot?
DORSUM: thin 6 loose, less sensitive
PLANTAR: thick, especially over WB areas of head, lat margin of foot and ball+ tip of big toe.
Sweat glands
very sensitive
The deep fascia of the dorsum of the foot is continous with the…?
Plantar fascia on sole of foot!
What is the central part of the plantar fascia called? What is its function?
Plantar aponeurosis = central part. Thickening of deep fascia
Function:
- holds foot together
- support longitudinal arch
- protects deeper structures in sole
- provides attachements for skin and muscles
What is the carachteristic of the 3 compartments of the sole?
Vertical septa extend deeply into m layers to form 3 compartments:
- medial (thinner fascia)
- central (thicker)
- Lat (thinner)
