Sudden death initial steps

A
  1. First aid if necessary
  2. Carry out initial scene examination
  3. Verify death has occurred - done by doc, nurse, ambo, midwife
  4. Obtain med cert by doc - if underlying illness
  5. Formally identify with N.O.K visually. (if unable to be done visually then done forensically)
  6. Remove deceased to mortuary
