Spanish came to find gold and pearls, forced the Indians to search, turned to agriculture when gold couldn’t be found, forced the Indians to work the land, many died because the work was so hard, brought over enslaved Africans to work the land, Simon Bolivar helped the people to revolt against Spain to gain independence.
What are some affects of political issues on Venezuela’s development
Oil production caused the wealthy to have all the money and force others to move. Many settled in shacks with no electricity and water, very poor. More immigrants came to collect on the oil wealth, but they suffered when the price of oil dropped in the 1980s
