Requirements for License
Requirements for License: Have a Social Security #, Be 18 year of age or older, Have a
high school diploma or GED. An applicant does NOT need to be a U.S. Citizen nor be a
Florida Resident (the applicant may have residency in another state and apply to have a Florida non-resident license. (pg 17-18)

Broker Associate: (pg 17) A licensee with a broker’s license but chooses to work as a
sales associate.
if an applicant has any history of conviction, what should he write on his application?
An individual applying for a real estate license with DBPR must disclose if the applicant has been convicted or pled guilty to a crime in any jurisdiction regardless of adjudication.
