What is the primary structure?

A

the sequence of amino acids

the bonds between the amino acids are peptide bonds

this determines how the protein folds up

A

the long chains of amino acids fold into regions with repeating patterns

alpha helix ( coiled shape)

beta pleated sheets (zig zaggy)

peptide bonds, and hydrogen bonds

A
