The Bible is written by many different authors at different times, so in order to read the Bible properly it is important to understand who wrote it, why and when they wrote it.

“Love thy neighbour” - Jesus in the Gospels
“Do not kill” - The Ten Commandments in the Old Testament.

How does the Bible change a Catholic’s life?
A
Catholic’s will read the Bible and understand it in terms of when and who it was written by. This allows them to accept the truth of the Bible and the truth of scientific theories such as the Big Bang and evolution.
