Aspirin for two weeks before anticoagulant treatment
If prosthetic heart valve and already on anticoagulant and who are at risk then this is stopped for 7 days and given aspirin

A
1) Clopidogrel (dipyridamole/aspirin if CI)
2) Statin
3) Blood pressure medications - target <130/80
4) Lifestyle changes

When is the statin given after a stroke ?
A
48 hours after symptom onset

Start DOAC/Warfarin instead
