What is strict liability?
A
Where there are some circumstances where it is not required to prove intent for one part of the actus reus.
Even if D wasn’t at fault or did all reasonable steps to prevent the offence they could still be found guilty.

Case for strict liability
A
Sweet v Parsley:
The CoA decided the teacher didn’t need knowledge of drugs growing in her house, so they found her guilty as they believed it was a strict liability offence. The HoL’s reversed the decision and said she did need knowledge so she wasn’t guilty.
