Good stress that makes you ready for action as it gives adrenaline
Distress
Bad /unhealthy stress that is more than you can cope with
Stressor
Anything, event ir person that causes stress. Pressures /demands leading to stress
Types of stressor
Physical: caused by physical harm
Environmental : caused by environment
Personality bases: people who are more prone to stress than other
Social : Caused by people around you
Emotional : caused by emotions
Social & emotional stressor difference
Social can be aspects of relationships like peer pressure
Emotional stressors can be personal thoughts, feelings, reactions to crisis like jealousy
Importance of managing stress
Body produces stress hormones cortisol & adrenaline. If uou fail to manage your stress body can produce too much of a hormone for too long. The Stress will damage your body & change to chronic diseases like high blood pressure
