key values: justice (present when people respect human rights), justpeace (sustainable peace pursued through nonviolent processes), and human security (exists when people are safe from all forms of violence and can meet their basic needs and rights); ethics involved: interdependence (when needs of one aren’t met, it affects others), partnership (instead of domination/competition to meet all’s needs), and limiting violence (promoting nonviolence)
