Zehr and Gohar: Restorative Justice
based on: interconnection of people, crime is a violation of people and relationships, violations create obligations, justice involves victims, offenders, and communities to make amends, central focus is on victim needs and offender responsibilities for reparations; 3 pillars: harms and related needs of all (emphasizes reintegration for both victims and offenders), obligations that resulted from and gave rise to harm (support each other and ensure they don’t reoffend), and engagement of those with a legitimate interest in the offence and resolution
