What are t-cells?
The cells that fight infection.
What does HIV cause, and how?
HIV causes your t-cell count to lower. When it gets low enough, the STD becomes AIDs.
How can AIDs kill you?
AIDs does not kill you, it only lowers your cells that fight infection. Things like the common cold or flu will end up killing you if you have AIDs because the limited amount of t-cells.
What is an example of something that treats HIV symptoms, but isn’t available for everyone?
HIV drug cocktails keep HIV dormant inside your body. They cost 15-25 thousand dollars per year, so not many can actually afford to get them.
