A

single seizure lasting >5 minutes, or
>= 2 seizures within a 5-minute period without the person returning to normal between them

Mx of SE: 0-10min

A

ABC

Diazepam 10−20 mg given rectally, repeated once 15 minutes later if status continues to threaten, or midazolam 10 mg given buccally. If seizures continue, treat as below.
