What are the three criteria for supervisor response? What makes a star protocol? 3 criteria
- There is credible information the subject is armed with a firearm or other dangerous weapon
- Subject is acting in a threatening manner with the weapon
- This doesn’t apply to open carry type calls, weapons cannot be the only justification for the star protocol.
How many officers are dispatched on a star protocol?

Dispatch will confirm the nature of the call with the area supervisor. True or false

- Announce their acknowledgement and respond.

- Rifle deployment will be in accordance with policy
- Get a work up completed through ANSEC
