IAB then may ask for a DRE to come and test the officer.

If it is determined to be under the influence IAB will request a nurse to draw the officers blood in a none criminal case.

An employee with a substance abuse problem can self report and receive amnesty. They will be on a two year probation type period and tested at any time. This will stay on their record for their career and cause for immediate termination if ever found to be in violation again
