Polical economy of trade: trade protection
stakeholder who benefits from protection will benefit/lose a lot if protection is increased/ remove, so they’re more incentive to push for protection
political economy of trade: trade liberalization
stakeholder who benefit from liberalization will only benefit/lose a little. Cost of defeating protectionise is worse, so adopt free rider stancem let someone else bear the burden
