Wu Wei Zi (Schisandra Fructus)

A

1 for Leakage

sour, sweet, warm
HT , Kd, LU

*stops leakage of Lu qi (chronic cough), helps kd grasp lu qi, variety of leakage: cough, sweat, diarrhea, binds jing, calms shen, generates fluids

  1. contains leakage of Lu qi (exhale) and stops cough
  2. tonifies Kd, binds jing, stops diarrhea-for kd xu and sp/kd xu (cock’s crow)
  3. inhibits sweat and generates fluids = for xs sweating accompanied by thirst, dry throat, spontaneous sweat, night sweats, xiao ke, etc
  4. calms shen and contains Ht qi for lack of communication bw Ht and Kd or blood/yin Ht/Kd xu

  1. inhibits leakage of Lu qi and stops cough - for lu xu chronic cough
