- contains leakage of Lu qi (exhale) and stops cough
- tonifies Kd, binds jing, stops diarrhea-for kd xu and sp/kd xu (cock’s crow)
- inhibits sweat and generates fluids = for xs sweating accompanied by thirst, dry throat, spontaneous sweat, night sweats, xiao ke, etc
- calms shen and contains Ht qi for lack of communication bw Ht and Kd or blood/yin Ht/Kd xu

- expels roundworm alleviates pain - vomiting, abd pain from roundworms (also abd pain not related to roundworm) (stand alone)
- binds ints stops diarrhea - chronic diarrhea or dysentery
- stops bleeding - blood in stool/uterine bleeding, vaginal, anal, urethra bleeding (stand alone) + blood xu sxs
- topical plaster for warts/corns
