c/c: do not use if significant PHL or loose stools, don’t consume w turnips/onions/chives/garlic, cook w metal, or combine w hot drying herbs (fu zi, xian mao, gan jiang, rou gui)
–unprepared form “Sheng he shou wu” resolves toxin, treats malaria, moistens intestines

- moistens intestines, unblocks bowels - for blood xu dry constipation
- reduces swelling, expels pus, generates flesh, alleviates pain - nourishes and invigorates blood for healing sores
- treats coughs: mild historical effect (adjunct)
