Batch
A group of invoices that you want to collectively send over to QB.
Conversion Tag
A tag that can be applied to customers, service locations, jobs, appointments or pricebook items that indicates to the office or tech that this is a conversion opportunity. Anything that has a conversion tag will be taken into account when calculating performance metrics (e.g. conversion rate) for techs.
E.g. Expiring Membership. Water Heater Sale, Potential Member
“Potential Member” is a smart tag ST adds to customers by default if we recognize this customer has not purchased any membership yet.
Cross Sales Group
An “umbrella” group that lets you report on that overarching category. E.g. toilet A, toilet B, toilet C may all fall under the Cross Sales Group “toilet,” so the business may track sales of ALL toilets.
Managed Techs
Managed technicians is how our new customers are priced - based on the number of managed techs a business has. A managed tech may be a service technician, maintenance technician, lead installer, comfort advisors/designer, counter sales representative, and any subcontractor that would serves in a service technician capacity. Essentially, anyone who is generating revenue or accepting payment. Helpers and subcontractors that do not touch revenue or payments are not factored into a client’s rate, yet they can still access ServiceTitan mobile.
This means as we help a business grow and they hire more managed techs, we will start charging more based on the number of managed techs. I.e. more managed techs is great news for our clients and ST.
Phone Integration
A process clients undertake with our onboarding and telecom team to hook their phone lines up to ST so we can track and record incoming calls. This also allows clients to properly attribute the revenue generated from their marketing campaigns (e.g. a number displayed in YellowPages v a Google ad), effectively enabling them to measure ROI of each campaign.
ST Payments
ServiceTitan’s payments processing solution. From the field, techs can take credit card payments via swipers and process checks via ACH (typing in routing/account number) or via mobile check capture (taking a picture of the check). There is an additional cost for ST Payments.
Tags
Visual indicators within ST that can be applied to most assets in the UI such as customers, service locations, jobs, memberships, pricebook items. These can be a simple “FYI” or may indicate a conversion opportunity (conversion tags), which will impact a tech’s performance score (conversion rate).
E.g. Beware of Dog, VIP Customer, Spanish Speaker, Gold Member, Expiring Membership, Water Heater Sale, Potential Member
“Potential Member” is a smart tag ST adds to customers by default if we recognize this customer has not purchased any membership yet. “Potential Renewal” is automatically applied if the customer has membership that is set to expire within 3 months.
Tracking Number
Any “virtual number” (i.e. there is no physical phone that answers that number, it simply points to another) used to track marketing campaigns. Tracking numbers are advertised numbers that point to a customer’s secret number they set up with ST.
