Crew Day/Rest
10+ hours: DH approval
12+ hours: CO, DET OIC, designated rep
Minimum 10 hours rest
Aircrewman Currency
30 Days. If elapses, EP brief with UNI, ANI, ENI required
IZLID 200P
Shall be treated like a weapon. OFF/Lens cover on/Batteries may be installed while on deck.
CSW
Shall not load live ammunition until established on a range/range clearance has been verified.
Test firing blanks is allowed off range (HAC discression)
Wash Rack Requirements
- All over water flights
- Last flight of day
- Directed by MX control (except when OAT is less than 5 degrees C)
Personal Photography
- Not interfere with any crew duties/degrade mission
- Prohibited during critical phases
- No classified material
- Not attached to aircraft without CO approval
Backup pump procedures
OFF - Before personnel climb on aircraft/TR pylon
ON for Maintenance purposes - Clearance from HAC, thumbs up on side of aircraft before/after up/down
Waterwash Procedures
If rotor brake slips, both engines shall be secured.
Accomplished from the right seat.
Anti-Exposure Suits
<50 or OAT <32 corrected for wind chill: Required
50-60: HAC discretion
>60: Not required - Swimmer considers “time to rescue”
75/75: DriFIRE/UDT
Power Available/Required (Hover Checks)
If power required to HOGE is 10% greater than computed during preflight, HAC shall reevaluate the aircraft to complete the assigned mission
PA vs PR (Training Flights)
Normal power margin for training is 5%. If calculated or in flight check give a margin less than 10% HAC shall verbalize to crew prior to training
Simulated EPs (Prohibited Actions)
- Lifting of any guarded switch cover, master armament, fuel dump, EMER REL
- Pressing any jettison, release, launch buttons
- Pulling cbs for B/U pump or stab
- Movement of T-Handles or Fire extinguisher switch
