What is the difference between intrinsic and extrinsic factors?
A
Intrinsic factors are specific to the athlete, whereas extrinsic factors can be specific to the sport and are external to the athlete.

How is tendinopathy different from tendinitis?
A
Tendinopathy is not due to inflammation. Most cases of Achilles’ tendon injury are actually tendinopathy. It is a degeneration of the tendon.
