What are School Sport Partnerships?
Creation of increased opportunities for school sport.

Initiative to increase participation in school sport from intra/inter-school level through to country and national levels.

What are personal factors for the progression from talent identification to elite athletes?
- Goal-oriented –> short-term and long-term goals to provide framework of success.
- Dedication –> ensure commitment.
- Self-confidence –> face challenges and pressure.
- High levels of fitness and skills.
- Good communication –> be willing to get feedback.
What is a socio-economic status?
An individual’s position in the social structure.
Depending on their job, level of income and area they live in.
What are some social and cultural factors for the progression from talent identification to elite athletes.
- High socioeconomic status to pay for expenses.
- Family and friend –> support financially and psychologically from young age.
- Coaches –> assist full potential and mentor them. Provide knowledge, motivation and encouragement.
- Friendship groups –> can be distracted by peers outside sporting environment.
- Sport equity –> represent more females and ethnic minorities.
