• research done to inestigate the abilities of the two hemispheres
• it came about because of patients getting their brain cut in half (through the corpus callosum) to stop severe epilepsy seisures so violet electrical activity wouldn’t cross between the two

1. patients fixate on a dot on the screen
2. information is presented on either the left or right visual feild
3. they are asked to make responses by writing (without looking down) something with their left hand or saying something

What are the resulta of the split brain experiment?

Answer 3

• if image is shown on the left side then they can’t express what they see verbaly (because it’s processed by the right side of the brain which doesn’t process language)
• if image shown on right ride it is not seen beacuse it’s processed by the left side which doesn’t have visuo-spatial abilities
