16
Q

Describe the thoracic vertebrae?

A

Lower thoracic allows rotation, lateral flexion and extension. The upper thoracic is limited to flexion and extension.

17
Q

Describe the cervical vertebrae?

A

Allows large range of rotation, lateral flexion and extension. The skull sits on top of the atlas bone to enable flexion and extension. Axis bone sits underneath to allow rotation.
