What is speech context?
It is the circumstances, setting, or situation in which a speech or verbal communication occurs.
What are the types of speech contexts?
Intrapersonal, interpersonal, public, mass, organizational, and intercultural communication.
What is dyadic and small group?
Dyadic is communication between 2 people, while small groups can be not less than 3, but not more than 10.
What is interpersonal communication?
This is communication between and among a group of people in order to establish personal relationships. Communication here can only be dyadic or within a small group.
What is intrapersonal communication?
This is communication that centers on one person. The speaker acts as both the sender and receiver of the message. (ex. self talk, daydreaming, journaling…)
What is public communication?
This is communication before or in front of a group of people/crowd.
What is mass communication?
This is communication that takes place through different types of media.
What is organizational communication?
This is communication that takes place within organizations, such as corporations, non-profits, and government bodies.
What is intercultural communication?
This is communication that takes place with various groups of different cultures.
