Q

What is the transactional model?

A

It is a continuous back and forth interaction where both parties act as senders and receivers at the same time. Feedback occurs immediately, and in this way, there’s no specific sender or receiver, they are both communicators. (ex. Debating, conversation (one person talks while the other nods along), etc…)

Q

What is the interactive model?

A

This involves both a sender and a receiver. Feedback occurs, but with a time lag. It is a symmetric model with both parties being of equal importance and taking turns in communicating. (ex. Letters, emails, etc…)

Q

What is Schramm’s model?

A

Its a model in which messages go in two directions between encoding and decoding. Both parties that communicate to each other are both those that encode, interpret, and decode a message. This means that the communication is equal and reciprocal.
