- An interruption in the flow of speaking
ex. losing your place. trying to do two things at once. Don’t know what to say. Under pressure - Disfluency–stuttering
ex. on 1st word, phrase or sentence. - Repetitions….
ex. stalling on the next thing to say - Prolongations
ex. hold sound out long. not as common as repetitions but still hard to understand - “Blocks”
ex. no sound coming out. No words. worse kind of stuttering. - “Fillers”
ex. vocalized pauses. eh. eh. - “Secondary Mannerisms”.
ex. twitches, hand flapping, etc movements. looks funny. - The FLUID (fluency) ERUPTED (An interruption in the flow of speaking) with DISKS (Disfluency—stuttering) that my PET (Repetitions) chased thru the LONG GATE (prolongations) down the BLOCK (“Blocks”) where a TILLAR (“Fillers”) was steering the DAIRY (“Secondary Mannerisms”).
