They are designed to be clipped onto clothing or worn at the wrist.
They track the users daily activity and body metrics.
They collect data for later review.
They have basic smartwatch capabilites, such as displaying caller ID and text messages.
How are smart watches designed? What do they do?
They are worn on the wrist. They combine the function of watche sand some mobile devices.
They can measure body and environmental metrics such as heart rate, body temp, elevation and ambient temp.
They can also function as smartphones.
How are VR/AR headsets designed? What do they do?
They are worn on the head.
VR provides complete immersion in a digital world.
AR overlays digital graphics over real life feeds.
What speciality mobile deviecs are there?
GPS.
GPS Reciever.
E-Reader.
What does GPS do?
It is satellite based navigation that transmit signals to recievers on earth.
What do GPS recievers do?
They lock onto GPS signals and calculate their relative postion. They in turn send signals back for relevant information such as directions.
They also calculate speed, time and distance until the destination.
What do E-Readers do?
They are used for electronic reading.
They provide much better readability than tablets, especially in sunlight.
They are lighter and have much more battery than tablets.
This is all made possible through electronic paper technology.
