- Click the safely remove hardwrae option in system tray. Ensure that it is not on.
- Click device you want to remove.
- Remove Device.

Examples: Smart Card Reader, Compact Flash Reader and 1.8 Disk Drive.

What form do external flash drives take? How do they attach to laptops?
They can take up to the form of SSDs or smaller devices like pen drives.

What are flash cards? How do they attach to laptops?
These are small cards used to store data. They typically come in the form of SD or SDHD. They are small, portable and frequire little to no power to maintain.
They are commonly used in laptops, mobile devices and cameras.
They require Flash Card readers suhc as MiniSD readres to use.
What are the two forms of smart card technology? How do they work?
Contact-This requires a physical connection to the card through insertion.
Contacless-This requires no connection, just for the card to be scanned.
Wha can smart card readers be used for?
Electronic Payments.
Telephone Calls.
What is the microprocessor on smart cards there for?
Security.
It can hold much more information than a magnetic stripe found on a credit card.
What pin configurations support SODIMM 32 bit configurations?
72 pin and 100 pin.
What pin configurations support SODIMM 64 bit configurations?
144-pin 200-pin and 244-pin.
Wher can the currently installed amount of RAM be viewed?
POST Screen. BIOS or System Properties.
What are CRUs? What is their purpose? What examples are there of this?
These are Custom Replaceable Units. These are parts of the laptop that the customer can replace.
Examples would be RAM, Batteries.
