Wallenberg’s Test
A
Test for vertebral artery insufficiency
- Physician flexes the neck and holds for 10 seconds, then extends for 10, then rotates etc. etc.
- Positive test results when the patient becomes dizzy, visual changes, light headed, or nystagmus occurs

Adson’s Test
A
Used to evaluate ROM in the shoulder
- Test abduction/external rotation ask patient to reach behind the head and touch the opposite shoulder
- To evaluate internal rotation and adduction, ask pt to reach in front of the head and touch opposite should
- To evaluate further internal rotation and adduction, instruct the patient to reach behind the back and touch the inferior angle of the opposite scapula

Drop Arm Test
A
Detects rotator cuff injury
- Patient is told to abduct the shoulder to 90* and slowly lower the arm.
- A positive test results if the pt cannot lower the arm smoothly, or if the arm drops to the side

Assesses the beeps tendon in the bicipital groove.
