Preterite rules

A

1) -car, -gar, -zar = yo form only, c-> qu, g -> gu, z->c

2) -aer, -eer, uir, oír = i-y in 3rd person, add accents on all but 3rd person plural (íste, ímos)

3) Stem change in -ir = only 3rd person; e-i, o-u

4) Irregular groups (no accent)
—4a) J = traer, decir, producir, traducir, conducir
—4b) I = querer, hacer (*hizo), venir
—4c) U = tener, estar, poder, poner, andar, saber
—4d) ser/ir
—5e) dar
—5f) ver
