Preterite vs. imperfect rule of thumb
1) Habit?
2) “___ing”?
3) Time/weather/age/appearance?
4) Emotional states/desires/opinions?
If any of these four = imperfect.
If none of these = preterite
Mine, theirs, hers, his, etc.
-Mío/mía / míos/mías
-Tuyo/tuya / tuyos/tuyas
-Suyo/suya / suyos/suyas
-Nuestro/nuestra / nuestros/nuestras
-Suyo/suya suyos/suyas
Agrees with the gender and sng/plr. of object being owned
No article needed after ser
Becomes a pronoun once the object is removed

-Use the él/ella form in the present tense

—When adding pronoun, add the pronoun to the end, cover the pronoun(s) and count back two syllables to add the accent
Eschúame! - Listen to me!
—When adding a pronoun to a one syllable word - no accent; UNLESS you are adding two syllables to a one syllable word
Dime! - Tell me!
Command negative - rules
Decir - Dime/No me digas
-Always terminates in “S”
-Present tense yo form, drop “o” (stem change & irregular yo forms remain)
-ar -> es

-er/-ir -> as
—When adding a pronoun, add the pronoun before the verb
