Q

How has people’s way of shopping changed?

A

Well, it goes without saying that the way people shop nowadays has completely change. In the past, people would go to a physical store, like a real supermarket or an electronics retailer to purchase the essentials such as food and vegetables or household appliances. Today, with the advent of technology, tons of e-commerce platforms have emerged, facilitating online shopping at a flick of a switch. Indeed, my colleagues and I are able to do some shopping on Amazon for our sweet homes at our office despite our hectic schedule.

Q

Why do some people like buying luxury goods?

A

Generally speaking, luxury goods are on top of some people’s shopping lists for a variety of reasons. For some consumers, a luxury good can boost their self-esteem or providing a sense of belonging to a certain social segment, the upper class in our society to be exact. For others, a sense of accomplishment is another reason why they buy luxurious items. For example, not everyone could purchase something like an iPhone 12 on the spur of the moment. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to reward yourself with such a thing.

Q

Do people prefer small shops or large shops in your country?

A

I personally think that individual preferences vary from person to person. However, most people seem to prefer larger stores to smaller ones. The first main reason is that bigger shops tend to offer more diverse products than smalls shops because of their large size, which can accommodate a greater inventory. Another reason is that shoppers at these stores receive better customer service since there are plenty of well-trained staffs who are able to handle customer needs on the spot.
