ST-40 location
Halfway between the lateral malleolus and the tibial plateau in the groove between the cranial tibialis and long digital extensor muscles
2 cun lateral to the cranial edge of the tibia
This point is proximal and lateral to ST-39
ST-40 indications

ST-41 location
The depression on dorsal midline of the level of the hock
The point lies between the tendons of the long digital extensor and cranial tibialis muscles
Very big deep depression
ST-41 indications
Jing-river point (fire)
Mother point for deficiency

Paresis/paralysis of pelvic limb
Spleen deficiency
Weakness of hindlimbs
ST-42 location
On the dorsal aspect of the proximal metatarsus at the junction of the 3rd and 4th metatarsal bones
Very small - off metatarsal heads
ST-42 indications
Yuan source point for stomach
Facia paralysis
Facial swelling
Dental problems
Epilipsy
Wei syndrome
Gastric pain
ST-44 location
On the dorsal aspect of the hindlimb in the proximal web margin between the third and fourth digits
ST-44 indications
Ying-spring point (water)
Stomach heat
Gastric ulcers
ST-45 location
On the lateral side of the 3rd digit nail base
ST-45 indications
Jing-well (metal) point
Child point for excess
Diagnostic and treatment points for appetite
SP-3 location
Just proximal to the metartarsalphalangeal joint on the plantomedial side of the 2nd metatarsal bone
SP-3 indications
Shut stream point (earth)
Yuan source point for spleen
Horary point
Abdominal pain

SP-4 location
In the depression distal to the proximal end of the 2nd metatarsal bone on the plantomedial aspect of the limb
SP-4 indications
Luo-connecting point to stomach
Confluent point to Chong channel
Watery diarrhea, vomiting
SP-6 location
3 cun proximal to the tip of the medial malleolus in a small depression on the caudal border of the tibia.
The point is opposite GB-39 which is on the lateral side
SP-6 indications
Master point for the caudal abdomen and urogenital system
Master point of dampness
