Software Flashcards
Where can you find data for all the instruments?
Two data files (excel, parts database)
SQAHelp what program are test loads created and modified
DevStudio
The reactions of the simulator are controlled by?
Programs stored in the host computer (SCS)
The purpose of the Digital Control Loading System (DCLS) is what?
Simulate the movements and forces to generate an accurate representation of an actual flight.
Name in-flight variables that are controlled through simulation software.
Malfunctions, aircraft sounds, aircraft controls, visual scenes and communications.
What does DMS and eCLMnt stand for?
- Digital Motion Server
- Control Loading and Motion
The CLM Server processes?
Flight-model data from the (SCS) host computer and incorporates it into the DMS server program to replicate realistic in-flight aircraft motion.
What does the IOS do with means to the DMS ?
Contains a means for controlling the DMS via an ON/OFF power button (control loading) and emergency stop
How does the load program communicate to the server room and then to the control loading cabinet?
The load program in the simulator talks to the SFS, signals to the SFS that it wants control, the SFS signals to the SCS then communicating to the control loading cabinet that control is needed/wanted to the simulator in the IOS position.
The eCLMnt Server performs which DMS software subroutines?
Primary Motion, Motion Control, Actuator Control, Special Effects
The motion control software subroutine performs which functions?
Erect, Settle, Fade, Maintenance/FAA Test, Geometric Transformation
Performing a windows activation
- Set disk boot up to priority from bios
- Insert disk into disk drive
- Select recover from the screen
- browse from files for DTT1 selection IOS
- select number 2?
- make sure all selections are selected
- click “next” to move forward at all times when prompted
- When finished the windows activation will come up
What does GNSS stand for?
What does the system do?
- Global Navigation Satellite System
- Uses orbiting satellites to plot latitude and longitude positions on the earth.
What does GPS do?
- GPS satellites continuously transmit highly monitored position and timing data to a GPS receiver.
Describe what the advantage’s of GPS for signal coverage are.
- Provide a minimum of four satellites visible from any point on Earth.
