The C90 is having battery issues and wont turn ON?
The instructor has tried restarting the control loading program.
- Three steps to follow and reverse (six in total)
Complete a motion cabinet power recycle.
The C90 FMS is not working properly in the C90.
All simulators were shut down last night because of storms.
Perform an AIC and I/O master-slave module reboot:
- Test the FMS for functionality
Reseed the avionics module in the flight cabinet
- Test the FMS for functionality
When calibrating the B206 “Control Loading” will not calibrate, says it fails. What to do?
System > Tools > Launch Controller > STOP
Press START when prompted (illuminated green)
Control Loading isn’t working in the 412 CPT after a night where the system was completely shut down. What would you do?
> Check for error messages
- Turn OFF the computer for SCS server
- Reseed cables in server room (Motion, Control
Loading and AIC)
- Power down AIC modules, Master and Slave modules
and power back ON
- Reseed the cables in the control loading cabinet at
the server computer outside the server room
- (Retry initiating control loading and it failed)
- Error message may read: Trying to recognize number
6 module head
- Restart all control loading heads
- Power the circuit breakers OFF and the back ON in
the correct order
- Log back into the SCS computer and start control
loading program again (successful)
CPT “IOS”? is having problems; has completely froze on two instructor screens.
Scenario: The crew have a scenario loaded and you can do one of two things.
- Don’t interrupt the scenario that is already loaded
- Restart the avionics module. Cycle it ON/OFF
- Restart the server that is frozen
FMS was not working properly on the C90
- Press to turn OFF the avionics chassis power
- Press to turn OFF slave and master I/O power buttons
- Wait 30 seconds to 1 minute?
- (Did not work after powering back ON)
- Reseeded the avionics module in the flight cabinet
- Turn ON the FMS and check for functionality
There’s an instrument glitch in the C90/412S&CPT simulator program and the simulator software is stuck?
- Press to turn OFF the AIC (Avionics Interface Computer) chassis DC power
- Press to turn OFF slave and master I/O DC power
buttons - Wait 30 seconds to 1 minute?
- (Did not work after powering back ON)
- Reseeded the avionics module in the flight cabinet
- Turn ON the FMS and check for functionality
G5 simulator visuals are crashing on its own
- Click administration
- click shutdown system
- Power ON all servers after shutdown
- Open diagnostics (Service Desk)
- Check DMS connection
- Go into DMS program
- Click Job: no tasks
- Run Self-Test?
- Click Tools
- Turn Lamps ON
Additional Trouble shooting:
- Parts swap: Encoder, Potentiometer, Tension Adjustment
- Could be the bios in the server
One of the projector screens is not functioning in any Simulator
- Click administration
- click shutdown system
- Power ON all servers after shutdown
- Open diagnostics (Service Desk)
- Check DMS connection
- Go into DMS program
- Click Job: no taks
- Run Self-Test?
- Click Tools
- Turn Lamps ON

Control Loading needs to be Reset in the G5?
Scenario: Control loading has tripped because the pilot pushed the controls while the sim was loading
- Open Computer
- Press 2
- Enter login name and password 0000
- Enter login and password on screen dv1
- FOLLOW RCA. Reset commands
- Test control loading function on screen
The batteries in the G5 won’t work, no functionality
- Miscellaneous computer was not ON. Selection one on the control loading computer and then F2 for start up. Windows + D? Soft restart on IOS computer. This worked.
