Belief- unifying the citizens by becoming the center of town life.

Church-letting travelers stay at monasteries, feed the poor, take care of the sick, and provided education to boys in the local community.

Architecture- attracted travelers and traders like cathedrals.

put together knights, stopped fighting in Europe.

How did people understand and respond to the Bubonic Plague (Black Death)?

A

There were many misunderstandings. Many things were done to stop the plague. Paris thought that the black death was from the miasma of the air which came from China, and Arabs thought that it was a plague from the land of darkness from god.
