what is conformity?
a change in a person behaviour or opinions as a result of real or imagined pressure. from a person or group. of people.
what is the relevance of group size in aches research?
asch increased the size of the group by adding more confederates. thus, increasing the size but only up to a point leveling off when the majority was greater than three
what is the relevance of unanimity in ashes research?
the extent to which all the member of the group agree in asch studies the majority was unanimous when all the confederates selected the same comparison lines this produced the greatest degree of conformity in the naive participants
what is task difficulty in relation to asch research
asch line judgement task is more difficult when it becomes harder to work out the correct answer. conformity increased because naive participants assume that the majority is more likely to be correct

what care the different types of conformity?

In psychology, compliance refers to changing one’s behavior due to the request or direction of another person. 1 Unlike obedience, in which the other individual is in a position of authority, compliance does not rely upon being in a position of power or authority over others.
