A

cognitive- have a personal belief about a person/group of people
Affective- the belief leads to a feeling about that person/groups
Behavioural- that leads to you behaving I a certain wat towards that group/person

Evaluating Social Identity theory

A

S- Tajfel et al- conducted minimal group in which boys split into groups, chance to reward each other or punish each other
Lalonde (1992)- studied hockey team with performance- asked them about it and blamed other team for using dirtier tactics
C- Sherif- Robbers cave experiment
O- Realistic Conflict Theory (Sherif)
U- can help understand and explain homophobia and racism
T- field experiments, naturalistic, ecologically valid, less demand characteristics
