What is Locus of control?
ROTTER (1966) explains where you identify as the source of your actions, could be:
Internal LoC- think you are responsible for your own actions and aren’t influenced by other factors
External LoC- think your own behaviour is heavily caused/ effected by factors outside of your control like fate

What is authoritarian personality?
submissive to authority but harsh to those they see as subordinate
what was found about gender difference? who by?
Burger found that females display higher amount of anxiety
SHERIDAN and KING (1972) adapted milgram’s experiment to involve a live puppy which received real shocks . women much more compliant than men (100% women)
what is ‘momentum of compliance’?
e.g milgrams experiment (1963) shocks went up steadily, every 45V, meant that ppt would reach 459V but very steadily
