What is social action theory?
A way of viewing socialisation emphasising social action
What is prejudice?
To form an unfavourable opinion of an individual often based on adequate facts
What is discrimination?
The unfair treatment of a person or minority group; to make a distinction and act on a prejudice
What is the interactionist approach?
The study of how individuals behave within society, it is a theroetical process which stems from social processes
What is Overt discrimination?
Obvious/visible discrimination(verbal racism towards another player)
What is covert discrimination?
Hidden/less obvious discrimination e.g. not selecting a person as captian because of their race or gender
