Most people back then didnt have a say in their government. People wanted a poltical voice but that was only reserved for the noblty and landed elite. Others came to America for freedom against an oppresive government
Social reasons:
A great example is religous freedom . Some people came to the Americas wanting freedom from religious tolerance.
Economic reasons:
A lot of people back then came to the Americas seeking land of better financal oppertunitys. In Europe this was very hard to come by and thanks to the easy acess land anyone can clam land for better opportunitys.
