What is the cardiovascular phase of a warm-up?
A warm up to gradually raise the heart rate towards the working heart rate.
What are the two streatching phases?
Static - easy, on the spot stretching
Dynamic- stretches that use movements specific to a spot, gradually increasing your reach and speed
What s the sport specific phase?
The final phase of the warm-up will be to practise the skills of the activity such as
Sprint starts
Practise throws
Take off for pole vaulters
Throwing, catching crosses, shot stopping for goalkeepers
What are the two phases of the cool down?
Cardiovascular and stretching
What is the cool down used for?
To gradually return the heart rate to its resting level
What does SMART stand for?
Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-bound
Why do people set SMART goals?
To help a person to achieve optimum performances to keep you motivated and focused otherwise they might get demotivated
