What is a PAR-Q?
PAR-Q: Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire
Why would we warm up
To reduce the risk of injury and to prepare the muscles
What is the first thing you should do in a warm-up?
A light run or jog
What are the phases of the warm-up
Cardiovascular, Stretching and Sports specific
Cardiovascular section
This part of the warm-up usually takes between 10-15mins and will be used to gradually raise the heart rate towards the working heart rate.
Stretching section
Dynamic (stretches that use movement specific to a sport) or Static (stretches that are on the spot), these should last around 15-30 seconds.
Sport-specific phase
The final stage of the warm-up will be to practice the skills of the sport such as sprint starts or passing for a midfielder.
Phases of a cool-down
Cardiovascular phase (should last around 5-10 mins)
Static phase (should last around 10-15 mins)

Why do people set SMART Goals
To help motivate a person and help a person reach their optimum performance

Clearly explain what you want to achieve and ensure your target is specific and relevant.
How can i make a goal measurable
Set measurable targets so you can track your progress and measure if your targets have been achieved.
How can i make a goal achievable.
Set targets that you have the ability to reach. Unrealistic targets are demotivating and can result in failure.
How can i make a goal realistic
Ensure that your targets are realistic to you personally.
How can i make a goal time-bound
Create a timeframe for you to achieve your goal, Establish a timescale.
Setting an end-point will help keep you focused and motivated.
