In order of relevance, outline which health related components of fitness are most important of a Striker in football.

A
  1. Muscular Strength - as you need to have power behind your shots and your strength in heading the ball and your runs behind the defence.
  2. Cardiovascular Fitness - you need to be able to run a lot not only to get to the ball quickly but to be constantly pressing the ball and chasing balls that are put behind the defence.
  3. Flexibility - you need to be able to reach the ball at all different parts and need to be able to adjust your body in different situations such as reaching the ball from a cross or controlling the ball from a pass
  4. Muscular Endurance - as you need to be able to constantly use your muscles and use them to a good standard.
